2026 USCC Member At Large Competitors

US Bartenders’ Guild communities all around the country are working to select the champions who will represent them in the 2026 USCC Regional Championships.

These competitors will go head to head for the opportunity to join Team USBG and represent the guild on a global stage.

Member at Large competitors were tasked with creating their “Sip of the Silver Screen”. This challenged applicants to create a signature cocktail inspired by one of their favorite films.

The cocktails were created, tasted and scored by a panel of IBA experts. The credits have rolled and these three competitors are ready for their close ups! Congratulations to Lauren Pellecchia, Philip Trinh, and Jonathan Choy who have advanced to the USCC Regional phase.

Lauren Pellecchia, USCC Midwest: La Vie Boheme
  • 1.75 oz Hayman’s Old Tom Gin
  • .25 oz Yellow Chartreuse
  • 7g Banana, peeled (about .25” slice)
  • .5 oz Lemon Juice
  • .5 oz Cold Brew
  • 2 oz Club Soda
  • 1 2” swath of Orange Peel, manicured

In a shaker tin, add Banana and use a muddler to smash the Banana. Add Gin, Yellow Chartreuse, Lemon Juice and Cold Brew to the shaker. Add one 2”x2” ice cube and shake to chill and combine, 12-15 seconds. Use a fine mesh strainer to double strain into an ice filled glass (I used a 10oz NYC Bodega coffee cup), top with Club Soda. Use a spoon to gently stir. Express Orange Peel over top of cocktail, and garnish with an Orange Twist.
