I started bartending in 1988 while in college. It was quick money at the time, but found I loved the fast pace and the people. For the next several years while struggling to start a business I bartended in several different bars, college dive bars, restaurants, a country club, and a sight-seeing boat. It was during this time that I was first introduced to cocktails, and I have had a passion for creating them ever since.
Fast forward to 2012, I first heard about the USBG shortly after arriving in Pittsburgh. I joined the newly formed Pittsburgh Chapter in 2012, and have served as a Treasurer and Board Director. I have also served on National USBG Committees and currently am a member of the National Finance Committee and the MA Committee. I have said that the lessons I learned while working in hospitality have stuck with me, and still serve me in my career in sales.
I currently work in sales and marketing for recreational boating supply company covering 4 states. I live in Pittsburgh with my wife Heidi, who is currently a Pittsburgh Chapter Board Member, our two daughters Pippa and Zoe, and our big furry dogs Otis and Oliver.
