Patrón Perfectionists Global Finalists Announced!

Now in its second year in the U.S. and fifth year around the globe, the Patrón Perfectionists Competition allows bartenders to express themselves and to create their own articulation of the perfect Patrón cocktail. 

After striving for perfection through pushing boundaries and creating unique cocktails at fierce regional competitions across Portland, New Orleans, and New York this past fall, three talented bartenders have advanced to the final phase of competition: the Perfectionists Global Competition! To start 2020 off with a bang, these three regional finalists will travel to Guadalajara, Mexico from January 18th-24th to compete with bartenders around the globe! Additionally, they will enjoy some rich education, including an exclusive tour of the Patrón distillery and cultural activities at the Hacienda Patrón.



And the three"Perfectionists" moving forward to Global Competition are:

Michael Cadden (Portland competition finalist)
Glendon Hartley
(New York competition finalist)
Sarah Turbett
(New Orleans competition finalist)

Michael Cadden
Cocktail name: Abuela's Marmalade

Recipe:

Abuela's Marmalade 2 oz.
Patrón Silver .5oz.
Local Poppy Honey .25 oz.
Clear Creek Cranberry Liqueur .5 oz.
Blood Orange Kumquat Marmalade 1 oz.
Lemon Juice 2 dash
Scrappy's Black Lemon Bitters
*Garnish with a local edible flower

Cocktail name: Melipona Cinchona

Recipe:

2 oz Gin Basket infused Roca Patrón Silver Tequila (Juniper & Coriander)
½ oz Local Honey-Raspberry Tonic (Cinchona Tea, Virginia Raspberries, George Washington University Honey, Salt)
Carbonated Half a Lime
*Garnish: Frozen Raspberries, Lime wheel

Sarah Turbett
Cocktail name: A Sip for a Siesta

Recipe:

6 parts Roca Patron Reposado
6 parts watermelon/tomato/honey shrub
2 parts ancho reyes verde chile liqueur
2 parts wildflower honey
1 part fresh lime juice
*Garnish cocktail with a pinch of crushed pink peppercorn and a sprig of fresh thyme
