How long have you been a member? I been a member for four months.
How many Conferences have you been to? This is my first time!
Next year is the USBG’s 75th Anniversary. Are you planning to attend the 75th Anniversary Conference? Yes!
#1 take away from this year’s In-Person Conference? I would definitely have attended in the past if I had known about it! The conference has been such a huge resource both for the education and the connections to other bartenders from across state lines!
Anything else you would like to share? The hotel is beautiful and it’s a lovely area. I would love to host this conference in Richmond! It’s a huge hub and so easy to get to from everywhere in the Northeast!

#1 take away from this year’s In-Person Conference? Being able to Volunteer during registration allowed me to personally meet all of the attendees and learn about them and the cocktail culture of their region.

#1 take away from this year’s In-Person Conference? It’s really impressive how instantly friendly and congenial every attendee has been, especially by comparison with Tech Conferences and other industry events!

The conference was filled with unique, educational seminars covering topics on how to better manage finances, how to identify mental health challenges regarding substance abuse, a peek behind the scenes of a brand ambassador, tips to start your own side business, and the history of cocktails! @Elayne Duff, and "The Art of Recruitement Branding and Retention of Black Talent," presented by Calista Phair.
USBG member attendees had a great time getting checked in, meeting our sponsors, and networking at our welcome reception.

The USBG National Charity Foundation Urban Hike was a success! Over the past few years, the USBG Foundation has seen growing interest in maintaining a healthy lifestyle while working in the hospitality industry. Some studies show that time spent in green spaces is good for mental and physical health. As we know, shift work, common in the hospitality industry, increases the difficulty in establishing a routine of outdoor activity and exercise. This program aims to connect our industry with the health benefits of green spaces.
