How long have you been a member? I have been a member since 2013. I have been the USBG Dallas Chapter Vice President for the past two years.
How many Conferences have you been to?' I’ve been to four conferences: Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Houston, and now, Tucson. I have also attended one National Leadership Conference.
Next year is the USBG’s 75th Anniversary. Are you planning to attend the 75th Anniversary Conference? I’m there!
#1 take away from this year’s In-Person Conference? I have never been to Tucson, and it’s always great to visit new markets! The Dallas Chapter brought four members who have never been to a conference before, so it’s been fun showing them the ropes. It’s also cool to see people that I only get to see once a year!
Anything else you would like to share? If I could sum it up, I would say, “Today is the best day of my life… until tomorrow!”

How long have you been a member? Six Years. I am currently the Houston Chapter Vice President.
How many Conferences have you been to? I’ve been to five Regional Conferences!
Next year is the USBG’s 75th Anniversary. Are you planning to attend the 75th Anniversary Conference? YES!
#1 take away from this year’s In-Person Conference? Networking is everything! We are meeting the nation’s best bartenders, so attendees are encouraged to follow everyone on social media so they can keep in touch and eventually have friends to visit the country everywhere you go.
Anything else you would like to share? This is a huge meeting of the minds. I am listening and absorbing everything I hear to bring those great ideas back to my home bar and local chapter.

The conference was filled with unique educational seminars covering topics on quality ingredients in cocktails, craft flair techniques, how to identify mental health challenges regarding substance abuse, the history of Latin American cocktails, tips on finances and the history of cocktails. The USBG National Charity Foundation Urban Hike was a success! Over the past few years, the USBG Foundation has seen growing interest in maintaining a healthy lifestyle while working in the hospitality industry. Some studies show that time spent in green spaces is good for mental and physical health. As we know, shift work, common in the hospitality industry, increases the difficulty in establishing a routine of outdoor activity and exercise. This program aims to connect our industry with the health benefits of green spaces.
