USBG Houston Chapter member, @C. Lindsey Burt

How long have you been a member? Four years as an Enthusiast member.

How many Conferences have you been to? This is my first conference.

Are you planning on attending the 2022 USBG Regional Conferences in the Spring? I plan on going to the 2022 Regional Conference in the Spring.

#1 take away from this year’s In-Person Conference in Houston? The members of our organization are warriors! This conference has brought together kindred spirits that have decided to commune in one space for fellowship and education.

USBG Member-At-Large Chapter member, @Cristen Eustice

How long have you been a member? Two and a half years.

How many Conferences have you been to? This is my first conference. I was scheduled to go to Jacksonville in 2020.

Are you planning on attending the 2022 USBG Regional Conferences in the Spring? Hopefully, yes! Tucson or Jacksonville!

#1 take away from this year’s In-Person Conference in Houston? I am happy to see how down to earth everyone is here. It feels like you know them. The friendliness and camaraderie is refreshing to see. I have been to other industry events and they don’t have that same feeling.

USBG Colorado Springs Chapter member, @Tobias Steeves

How long have you been a member? Three years.

How many Conferences have you been to? This is my first conference.

Are you planning on attending the 2022 USBG Regional Conferences in the Spring? I am definitely planning to go to the 2022 Regional Conference in the Spring. I will probably go to Tucson as the Southwest is my Home Region.

#1 take away from this year’s In-Person Conference in Houston? I am happy to be able to meeting face-to-face and connect with people I have met virtually over the past year. I am using his time at the Houston Conference to build stronger connections and relationships.

Anything else you'd like us to know? I will be moving to South Dakota to open a bar. I am looking forward to helping to establish a USBG Chapter in South Dakota, grow the food and beverage industry there and elevate it to the next level.

NEW this year – The Urban Hike, a program of the USBG National Charity Foundation. Over the past few years, the USBG Foundation has seen growing interest in maintaining a healthy lifestyle while working in the hospitality industry. Some studies show that time spent in green spaces is good for mental and physical health. As we know, shift work, common in the hospitality industry, increases the difficulty in establishing a routine of outdoor activity and exercise. This program aims to connect our industry with the health benefits of green spaces.

Been following posts and seeing photos and getting FOMO but I know that Columbus will make up for it when I attend. It's going to be so nice attending in person again. I just got to get used to wearing pants again.
