While National Dive Bar Day 2018 may be over, that doesn’t mean our love for America’s historic dive bars is! Seagram’s 7 Crown Whiskey has partnered with the National Trust for Historic Preservation to raise awareness of and appreciation for historic dive bars across the country. These landmarks of the industry are physical representations of the energy and love we pour into our communities.

To help celebrate local historic dive bars, share your favorites on Twitter with #SaveTheDiveBar, and Seagram’s 7 Crown Whiskey will donate $1 for every post tagged, up to $25,000!

Thanks to Seagram’s 7 Crown Whiskey, dive bars across the country will always remember that 7/7 -- July 7th  -- is National Dive Bar Day, paying homage to the classic Seagram’s 7 and 7-UP. People celebrated across the country from Portland, OR to Jacksonville, FL, where 7&7s were sipped while dancing the night away in celebration of the inaugural National Dive Bar Day.

Over 650 consumers and 150 media attendees raised their glasses to some of their favorite dive bars to mark the newest national holiday. Local market events took place in Jacksonville, Chicago, Denver, Portland, Little Rock, and St. Louis to name a few. The cocktail of choice, a 7&7, was ordered nearly 600 times!

To commemorate National Dive Bar Day, guests were treated to fun swag and props while posing in a photo booth available in each city. Participating cities decorated their local watering holes, posted on social media, and each venue featured National Dive Bar Day signs, social cards, and menus. In select cities, the Seagram’s camper provided event-goers with samples and tastings of Seagram’s 7 Crown Whiskey – a hit in and of itself. The camper also offered a variety of entertainment, including Seagram’s 7 Crown Whiskey games.

The #NationalDiveBarDay hashtag was used more than 570 times across social media throughout the weekend.

This was a great day overall with great turn-outs in all cities that participated. We are already anxious to see what next year has in store.
