@Reza Esmaili
USBG West Regional Council Representative
30+ years in the industry

Professional Stats & Vitals: I've proudly been a member of the USBG since 2003 and have served in elected positions such as SF Chapter President and three terms on the National Board of Directors.

What inspires you to be a Regional Council Representative? My love and understanding of the West Coast helps inform my current duties on the National Council of Chapters as Western Regional Chair. I'm most proud of my work on several USBG committees that charted the course of this evolving organization. My attention to detail and technique qualified me to serve as Judge for national cocktail competitions such as Diageo World Class, Bacardi Legacy and Bombay Sapphire MIB. I have also represented the USBG internationally at IBA events from Bogota to Bordeaux. My personal and professional aspiration is to eventually share my hospitality industry experience with my birth country of Iran.

@Lawrence Piaskowy
USBG San Francisco Chapter Board Member
30+ years in the industry

Professional Stats & Vitals: I have spent most of my adult life, and some of my youth, in the hospitality industry, back and front of the house. This experience gives me a well developed sense for the industry as a whole. It also allowed me to gain the skills necessary to lead diverse groups and get them all working on the same goals. In our local chapter, I've helped guide us through the change in governance and mentored new leaders. I believe this has been good for our growth as leaders and as a chapter.

What inspires you to be a Regional Council Representative? Now that our local chapter is on the way to a good place with new leaders growing into their roles, its time to lend those skills to the entire region. I have the interpersonal skills to help support the various chapters and help them grow to their potential. And my ability to understand different perspectives and keep the longer range goals in mind suits me well in a regional role.
