USBG Charlotte Chapter, 10 years in the industry

First job: Food Lion, bagging groceries; clearly was not for me.

Why this business?: This is one of those few careers where our job is to make people happy inside and out with the food and drink we provide. I have a primal desire to make people happy!

Childhood ambition: I wanted to be an architect or a photographer. I've already done both in my hospitality career.

Best part of job: Putting a smile on someone's face!

Stress relievers: Music, or spending time with my dog, Copper.

Pet peeve: Messy eaters when the food doesn't warrant a mess . . . 

Advice you could offer to others: We serve people, not drinks.

Best advice you ever got: The words "I" and "MY" are a state of mind. "WE" and "OUR" is the team mentality, and that's the way you need to think as a leader.

Riskiest thing you've ever done:
Quitting my job to move to NYC without one lined up.

Is there something about you that would surprise people? Apparently a lot of people still don't know I am a huge Disney fan!

What's the simplest thing you've never mastered? Spelling; auto correct has ruined us all!

Favorite part of usbg.org? Promotion of its members and community

Sports team: Tampa Bay Bucs

If you could change jobs with anyone for a day, who would it be? Mark Cuban. I would love to get inside that guy's head for a day.

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates? Good job son. Let's have a cocktail.
