By Aaron Gregory Smith posted 06-03-2020 14:00

A statement from the United States Bartenders’ Guild, the USBG National Charity Foundation, and USBG Senior Staff:

The United States Bartenders’ Guild and USBG National Charity Foundation stand in solidarity with protest actions taking place across the nation. We affirm the USBG’s support for systemic changes vital to building truly welcoming hospitality communities.

To our black members, colleagues, family & friends: you matter, you belong, and you are welcome here. To all members, friends and colleagues who are hurting, concerned, or angry: we stand with you and share in your grief.
We believe our mission to unite the hospitality community is best served when we work to build a welcoming organization for members to speak, to be heard, and to succeed.

To address the challenges of this moment, we remain focused on listening, planning, and directing our actions to meet the ongoing critical needs of hospitality professionals nationwide. We invite your feedback shared to as we navigate this process.

Yours in Service,
USBG Board of Directors
